This shell is also known as the Pink Conch and it is quite a large shell. This one was painted from an example that we own. The shell in found in Florida and the Caribbean, and, the animal is edible. The birds are Willets which migrate to the Caribbean and are often seen on the Atlantic coast of the United States.
