   This alkyd was painted directly from a setup with this decoy, a hunting jacket and a duck call. The decoy is by one of the best of the
present day decoy carvers, and is a decoy I own myself. At the time this was painted, I was showing my work at The Easton, Maryland Waterfowl Festival. Those who enjoy duck hunting should visit this wonderful festival which usually takes place in the first part of November. The entire town is turned into an exhibition of all the facets of duck hunting and decoy carving. An added bonus is sitting at tables set up on the street and having she-crab soup and clam strips while 200 Canada Geese fly overhead. Make your reservations well ahead!
