This shed is part of the Maine Maritime Museum at Bath, Maine. The subject matter is fairly complex for a watercolor. This means planning your procedure many steps ahead. Watercolor is almost like a game of chess...there is little room for error, and you must chart your moves to avoid mistakes. Mistakes in watercolor are usually difficult to correct. As in all my watercolors, the whites are the paper itself, and the colors are transparent...I use no opaques. The small figure is my son Mark when he was much younger.
